David served his time as an electrician at Edmiston Brown and worked as an electrician for 4 years before moving to W.J. Harte Construction to run their Street Lighting division in 2000 and operated that division successfully for 11 years initially as General Manager before becoming Divisional Director. After Hartes acquisition of G&B Road Markings & TRL Signs, David went on to manage all three divisions. David formed Phoenix Specialist Solutions back in 2012 and remains the Managing Director of the company.

Since February 2012, Sharon has worn multiple hats to ensure the seamless functioning of various departments from managing the sales ledger and accounts with precision to providing a warm and professional reception for visitors and handling incoming calls. Sharon is the friendly voice and face of our organization. Her organizational prowess extends to coordinating training sessions and managing holiday schedules for our dedicated team of employees. With her attention to detail and adeptness in general administrative duties, Sharon plays a pivotal role in supporting our mission to deliver exceptional services to our clients.

James worked at Semple Cochrane for 6 years as a street lighting foreman before moving to W.J. Harte Construction to be the contracts manager for their street lighting division, helping David with the site-based operation of the division. James was an integral part of the formation of Phoenix Specialist Solutions in 2012 and continues to manage the street lighting squads daily operations as well as attending site meetings to progress ongoing works on live contracts as well as meetings to discuss future contracts.

John has been employed at Phoenix Specialist Solutions since February 2018 as Buying Manager. His main duties in this role include ensuring we get the best possible prices for the material that is purchased for the various contracts that the company has within its three divisions – Street Lighting, Road Marking and Signs. John has been involved in Street Lighting for over 20 years and has a vast knowledge of the industry where he has built up close working relationships with our various suppliers. John is also tasked with ensuring that we have sufficient stock of our products to ensure that our contracts are carried out within our working timescales set by our various clients. He is also responsible for managing the operation of the warehouse and coordinating deliveries.

Brian joined Phoenix in 2022 as Commercial Manager having worked in the Highways and Infrastructure sectors as a Quantity Surveyor for over 20 years for various companies including Balfour Beatty, Barr Roads & Contracting and Joseph Gallagher. He has been involved in a variety of projects ranging from new motorway construction & maintenance to tunnelling for gas and water infrastructure as well as bioremediation of contaminated land. Brian is involved in all commercial functions of the business including estimating, procurement and valuation of live works.
